Litter is a concern to everyone in our city and creates a significant cost to the council each year.

Maintaining a cleaner, greener city is a priority within the council’s Corporate Plan. Whilst it would be unrealistic to expect a completely litter free borough, the council’s vision is to significantly reduce the amount of litter.

In addition to the significant cost, littering also has a negative impact on people’s well-being and is highly damaging to the natural environment. We plan to develop a litter strategy that will help shape how we can all work together to make Torfaen a cleaner and greener place to live, work and visit.

We need your thoughts and ideas about what goes into the strategy, and this online tool is designed to help us do that - it's a safe space to share your ideas.
