Can the bins be emptied more often?

It's so common in the summer months for the bins (especially in or near parks) to really overflow.

Can the bin be emptied more regularly? Or could more temporary bins be added in the summer months?

Why the contribution is important

People do try and put their litter in the bins but if they overflow or people have no choice but to leave bags by the bins, the seagulls get involved and the litter issue is even worse!

I totally agree with this - some places have those 'Smart Bins' I think they know how much rubbish they have in them and then the council know to come and empty them when they are full? Could we explore the smart bins?

Smart Bins are just another rubbish idea (see what I did there?!)
Also in this day and age when we are trying to all save energy and use less energy, why would we want or need to have bins that use energy?! Instead of just an old fashioned bin that sits there being a bin? Madness!

I disagree with this comment - the smart bins I have seen all have solar panels on the top so I would guess they are powered by that. Also, I think evidence has shown that a lot of energy is saved with smart bins because for bins that are rarely used, the van doesn't need to drive to go and empty a non-full bin!
